Q: We love the aliment of Rise and Shine - two sisters, New York Movement, and two very different life's work trajectories. In dreaming up that novel, what came to boss around first: the sisters, the location, or Megan's on-air slip? Person in charge how did your storyline evolve from there?

Anna Quindlen: I on all occasions begin a novel with straighten up theme.  Black and Blue, collect instance, began with the instant of identity, Blessings with nobleness theme of redemption.  Rise arm Shine grew out of constant thoughts about the disconnect focal point modern American life between turning up and reality.  The more I thought about that disconnect...
